Rumour about Sharmila Farooqi’s Engagement with Hasham Riaz
Sharmila Farooqi’s engagement with Hasham Riaz on March 3rd 2013:
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and adviser to the Chief Minister Sindh Sharmeela Farooqi has decided to get engaged with Hasham Riaz Sheikh on March 3rd , it has been learnt.
Reliable sources told us, that one of the popular leaders of PPP Sharmila Farooqi’s engagement is to be held on the 3rd of next month at Mohatta Palace Karachi.
“Hasham Riaz Sheikh is a son of former Director General Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) Ahmed Riaz Sheikh, who is very close to President Zardari,” said a source, adding that President Asif Ali Zardari played an important role in this match making of Sharmila with Hasham. It is worth adding that Ahmad Riaz was arrested and jailed on the orders of the Supreme Court two years ago.
All speculations regarding the marriage of beautiful politician Sharmila has now come to an end with this decision of her getting engaged with Hasham. Sources further said that as per traditions the first phase of engagement ceremony will be held at Sharmila’s house on 24th of February, followed by the main event that is to be held at Mohatta palace.
The high profile event of the engagement ceremony of Sharmila with Hasham would be followed by musical program at Mohatta Palace Museum Karachi.
Sources revealed that Sharmila’s to-be-fiancé Hasham is the owner of upcoming TV channel Capital TV, while he is also currently holding a key position at the presidency being a leader of PPP. “The high profile of Hasham is conducive in making Sharmila to go with this decision,” added a source.
The sources further said that both have been in contact for last few years and now decided to get engaged. Though Sharmila has remained silent about her marriage plans yet, and doesn’t disclose or give any hint in this regard on several TV shows she appear frequently. “She hasn’t give anybody any clue about her planned engagement,” said the source.
